Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 August 2026
Barometra is licensed, not sold, to you for use on Apple devices. Your licence is Apple's Standard End User License Agreement; the terms below sit alongside it and describe what this particular app does.
What Barometra is
A wellness app that shows public weather data next to a journal you keep yourself, and points out where the two line up. It is made and published by Alevtyna Kasirotska, an independent developer.
What Barometra is not
It is not a medical device, and it gives no medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anything, and it cannot predict how you will feel. Any association it shows is a pattern in your own log, not a cause. Decisions about your health belong with you and a qualified clinician — talk to a doctor about symptoms that are severe, new, or worrying, and never delay care because of something this app displayed.
Forecasts are forecasts
Weather data comes from Open-Meteo and NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center. Forecasts are estimates that change and are sometimes wrong, and the further ahead they look the less they are worth. We provide them as they arrive and cannot guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability.
Your purchase
The Full Version is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it unlocks history beyond the recent week, the pattern analysis, sharp-change alerts, and the doctor report on the Apple ID that bought it, and can be restored from Settings on any device signed into that Apple ID. Payment is taken by Apple under its terms. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — reportaproblem.apple.com — though you are welcome to write to us first and we will help where we can.
Your journal is your responsibility
What you record stays on your device. We hold no copy and cannot recover it. If you delete the app, lose the device, or restore it without a backup, that data is gone. Keeping iPhone backups switched on is the way to protect it.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or resell it, and do not use it in any way that breaks the law or Apple's terms.
No warranty, and the limits of our liability
Barometra is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
Changes
These terms may change as the app changes; the date above will say when. Continuing to use Barometra after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
Your licence to use Barometra is Apple's Standard EULA, which carries its own governing-law provisions. Nothing in these terms affects the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
